R.A.P (Robin Allen-Payne) has just found her voice! She recently decided to no longer be a spectator of her own life, but an active participant in “the great dance.” Mastering the art of expressing herself silently, R.A.P has whispered her ideas and contained her screams and released her sorrow onto paper for years. It was only yesterday when she started to share with others. She does not bless herself with the title of “writer”, showing much respect to those writers who influenced her most: Alice Walker, William Shakespeare, Lorraine Hansberry. For now, she will only say that she has a creative mind, a passionate spirit and a love of language. But she aspires to one day be a poet, a spoken word artist, a storyteller, a playwright, and finally, a writer.
